The right profile wins more missions

Clients choose pilots based on equipment match. Here's how to list yours to stand out.

Drone platforms

What tier is your aircraft?

Consumer / Prosumer

e.g. DJI Mavic / Air series

Excellent for real estate photography, inspection, and basic mapping. Wins entry-to-mid missions.

RGB camera4K videoConsumer grade GPS
Professional

e.g. DJI Phantom 4 RTK, WingtraOne

High-accuracy mapping, construction monitoring, and agriculture surveys. Wins the majority of data-focused missions. PPK/RTK GPS critical.

PPK/RTK GPS20MP+ sensorPhotogrammetry-ready
Enterprise

e.g. DJI Matrice 300/350 RTK, Autel Evo Max

Payload flexibility for thermal, multispectral, and LiDAR sensors. Wins high-value industrial and agricultural contracts.

Payloads & sensors

Sensor types that win missions

RGB Camera

Required for all visual documentation. 20MP+ sensor resolution with RTK GPS recommended for mapping missions.

Multispectral

Required for NDVI, crop health, and agricultural missions. DJI P4 Multispectral or Micasense RedEdge-P are common.

Thermal / IR

Required for infrastructure inspection, solar panel audits, search & rescue, and HVAC surveys.

LiDAR

Wins the highest-value missions: precise elevation models, powerline inspection, forestry. Rare sensor — huge competitive advantage.

Oblique / 360°

Useful for building documentation and as-built surveys.

Pro tip: LiDAR is rare

Fewer than 8% of registered pilots on Vantagr carry a LiDAR payload. Listing one immediately qualifies you for the highest-value industrial missions.

Profile tips

How to optimize your profile

List every sensor and payload you own — clients filter by these

Specify maximum flight altitude and range capability

Add your processing software (DJI Terra, Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, DroneDeploy)

Upload example outputs from past missions (orthomosaics, reports)

Keep equipment list current — outdated info = missed matches

Data quality tips

Great deliverables earn great reviews. High ratings lift you in the matching algorithm.

Fly at consistent GSD (Ground Sampling Distance) for the mission spec

Use RTK/PPK for any mapping mission requiring sub-5cm accuracy

Calibrate multispectral sensors with the calibration panel before every flight

Plan overlap at minimum 80% front, 70% side for photogrammetry

Add your equipment to your profile

The more detail you provide, the more missions you'll match. Registration takes less than 10 minutes.
